South America is so interesting and varied, yet many of us overlook it when it comes to wine. With its growing presence, wines from South America are not just a great value for money, but many are also premium quality. The two South American powers are Argentina and Chile. We will show that these two countries make a variety of great wines outside of their marquee Malbec & Cabernet Sauvignon. We will look at the similarities and differences between the regions, history, soil, aspect, climate, grapes and wine making to get an overview.
