Italy, Italy, Italy — what a beautiful country and what diversity of wine. Diversity is both the glory and the bane of Italian wines.
- Duration: 2 Hours
Barolo is called the King of Italian Wines and the Wine of Kings. Now Aglianico is being called the Barolo of the South and many would suggest that Brunello, Super Tuscans, and Amarone are also contenders for the crown. What all of them have in common is the ability to command attention and prices in the marketplace. We will look at each region and explain why they are creating such fantastic wines, and then compare and discuss the pleasing attributes of each wine so that we can determine our own unofficial King of Italy.
