The WSET Level 1 wine education class will introduce students, at a basic level, to the main styles of wine available, wine storage, and food and wine pairings.
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits Wine Education Class provides vocational training in the broad range of alcoholic beverages to underpin job skills and competencies in the customer service and sales functions of the hospitality, retail, and wholesale industries. Wine enthusiasts in Central Texas who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of wines and spirits and want to obtain an internationally recognized wine qualification should consider this course!
This class is held at the Texas Tech University Regional Site in Fredericksburg located in the Hill Country University Center, 2818 East U.Ss Hwy. 290, Fredericksburg, TX 78624. The WSET recommends that students complete at least 14 hours of personal study outside the classroom hours during their Wine Education classes. This class is held at the Texas Tech University’s Hill Country University Center in Fredericksburg.
Upon passing the exam students will receive a pin and certificate to certify their achievement. Students failing the exam may retake it for a $100 fee.
WSET recommends a minimum of 28 hours of study, including 11 hours of independent study to complete this course.
